HaemCalc does not provide personal medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Outputs from the tool are not a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare professional who knows the individual patient's history, examination findings, and investigations.

3. No clinician–patient relationship
Use of HaemCalc does not create a clinician–patient relationship between you and Dr Muhammad Mohsin. No such relationship arises from using the calculator, sending an email, or any other contact via the site.
4. Use by clinicians
Healthcare professionals using HaemCalc do so on the understanding that:
- Final clinical decisions remain the responsibility of the treating clinician.
- All outputs should be checked against current local protocols and the latest national or international guidelines (for example, BSH, NICE, EHA, ASH, ICSH).
- Calculator outputs are aids to reasoning, not substitutes for it. The user is responsible for confirming the inputs, the appropriateness of the calculation in context, and the interpretation of the result.
- Reference ranges and cut-offs may differ between laboratories. Local laboratory reference values should be used where they differ from defaults shown in HaemCalc.
5. No warranty of accuracy or currency
Content is reviewed in good faith but may contain errors, omissions, or out-of-date material. The Owner gives no warranty, express or implied, that any output of HaemCalc is accurate, complete, current, or fit for any particular clinical purpose.
6. Third-party scoring systems and guidelines
Where HaemCalc implements published scores, scales, or guideline-derived calculations, the underlying intellectual work belongs to the original authors and publishers. The user is responsible for accessing the original publication or guideline before applying the result in clinical practice.
7. Regulatory status
HaemCalc is provided as an educational and reference tool. It is not marketed or supplied as a medical device for the purposes of UK MDR 2002 (as amended). It must not be used as the sole basis for any individual clinical decision. Where a calculation is incorporated into a clinical pathway by an organisation, that organisation is responsible for local validation, governance, and any required regulatory steps.
8. No patient-identifiable data
HaemCalc must not be used to enter, store, or transmit patient-identifiable data. Users must use anonymised or test data only. The Owner accepts no responsibility for any breach of confidentiality arising from the entry of patient-identifiable data into the tool.
9. Limitation of liability
Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.
Subject to that, and to the limits in clause 8 of the Terms of Use, the Owner accepts no liability for:
- Any clinical decision made or not made on the basis of HaemCalc outputs.
- Any direct, indirect, or consequential loss, damage, or harm arising from use of, or reliance on, HaemCalc.
- Any loss or harm arising from inaccuracies, omissions, or out-of-date material.
10. Reporting errors
If you spot a clinical error, calculation error, or out-of-date statement, please report it to contact@haemcalc.com so it can be reviewed and corrected.
